So, I use MapQuest a lot to find the schools that I visit. (There are so many schools that I've never visited in my area before!)
On Friday, I noticed a new ad on MapQuest about Thanksgiving:
TurkeyQuest: A Thanksgiving-Event Guide
It is a guide of many Thanksgiving activities including philanthropy events!
What a neat way to organize this information for people. It is sometimes hard to find local-holiday-related events so this could be helpful to people new to areas I suppose. I found some good info about Iowa. I would not have expected to use MapQuest as a resource for finding things that I don't have an address for, but it seems like a good idea - it would be neat to have a common place to go to find volunteer projects/events etc. organized by state/city. I've seen a few things that have some things, but I created an inclusive list would be very challenging.
This week's Sunday School lesson really goes with the theme of my blog: Matthew 25:31-46. My sister was my helper and we played "Sheep, Goats, and Shepherd" (it's kinda like Giants, Wizards, and Trolls - a team rock, paper, scissors-type game) and we did skits to act out the story!
