Bible Tabs and Scavenger Hunts

This past week was pretty normal and not super exciting. I am starting to teach some different classes at work though! This week I get to teach some "Famous Fire Facts" (which is all about preventing fires, what to do if there is a fire, and treating burns) along with "Home Alone" (which is about walking/staying home alone). I'm excited to teach some new material that I think will be great for the youth I'm teaching! (With help from my dad,) I made this really great worksheet about making an escape route so I'm so excited to give it to my classes tomorrow and see how it goes! I've also been working on my marketing - I  wish I would have listened more when my PR/Business friends were always talking about marketing in college -- I don't think my email/brochure delivery plan is that bad though.

This week for Sunday School I've been putting books of the Bible tabs on all of their Bibles. We have spent a lot of time using the table of contents, but I think my 3rd graders would benefit a lot from the tabs too. After putting tabs on my Bible, I realized that it would probably take 2 weeks for the kids to put them on - so I started the task myself. It is a great project while watching Criminal Minds or NCIS, but it is a bit tedious. I have enjoyed the abbreviations though. Poor Lamentations' tab says, "Lame". I didn't even realize it until about 3 Bibles in - haha.
This week in Sunday School we got to participate in a scavenger hunt with the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders! It was fun to be out of the classroom (we traveled all over the church and even outside searching for clues) and doing something different. I also enjoyed having a little break from planning something.
